Sorry to hear it, George. About ten years ago I almost completely removed the pad (fingerprint) from one finger with a hedge trimmer. Some stitches and recovery time (and a trip to the ER) and it's fine now, but as Dave says, never underestimate power tools. I have the highest respect for all of mine. The scar is a reminder.

George it would be good to see (hear) you in class again. Don't get too discouraged. While up in Fernandina Beach last month we were at O'Kearns, the local Irish pub, and they had a kick @*# band called.........well anyway the lead guitar player didn't have an index finger on his fretting hand. Very impressive!
