The BB King blues box is a pentatonic scale arranged with the scale notes behind the root note on the fret board.. Using this arrangement, you can do an entire 12 bar blues using just these five notes. You'll barely need to move your left hand.. This allows you to stay in an easy comfort zone for the entire 12 bars of a blues lead.. We practiced the BB king blues box in the key of D.
