What strings do ya'll use? I'm ready to change my strings and am declaring a "Who's strings I pick" game. I will pick one from everybody's response and get 2 sets. The other will go into the drawing . let's hear some "why-u-like 'ems" I believe this could be a very informative thread for us all ! ..

I like the D'Addarios but I definetly need mediums though. Do you always use the same brand?

I use Martin Bluegrass SP 80/20 bronze. They seem to hold their twang longer than others I've used. I get pretty good volume out of them too (with a thick pick).

Elixirs sound great on my Gibson but terrible on my Guild. The Guild stays with D'Addarios. Lights.

On my Martin I use D'Addario EJ17's (medium gauge). On my Guild I like the sound produced with light gauge strings. I received a gift set of Martin Eric Clapton's Choice phosphor bronze lights. Maybe I'm biased but they sounded great! Though a big Clapton fan I BUY the D'Addario EJ16's for the Guild.
