TOPIC: Satin Doll video

Satin Doll video 14 years 10 months ago #1134

Thanks for sharing that, Fretmentor...I thoroughly enjoyed it; it's nice to hear some Jazz in the midst of all the Bluegrass.

With Mel nothing personally is wrong with him....however with his music I agree with Screedue...it's Mel Torment to me....I want to scream when I hear it....worse than scratching your nails on the blackboard. Kinda what rap does to most people of my generation....yet I can take rap....but not that type of jazz. Do LOVE New Orleans type of jazz though! ;)

I think I heard Mel Torme was played at Gitmo. But now Obama put an end to that!

I can honestly say i can not tolerate rap music...(thug music in my opinion) At least Mr.Pass is a skilled musician. You should hear him play 12 bar blues. He goes over 1/4/5/1 progressions in 8 and 12 bar in the key of G. He talks about movable chord shapes, and something we've heard before--the inability of many guitarists to take their intro---what he meant was lead break in bluegrass talk.
