TOPIC: practice with others

Got together with a couple of class mates this weekend and worked on the songs of the week.It really helps to play with others to get the timing down.It felt like an hour of playing together was equal to a few hours of practicing alone.Hope to continue these sessions.

What are the new songs?

AM heading south for the winter in a couple of weeks and am looking for to re-joining the Wednesday night sessions - I have really missed them.

What are the new songs the class is working on? (not that I learned all of the old ones!)

Is 'Shady Grove' one of the new ones - is it one of the regulars - and what key is it in?

All the old ones plus Shady Grove in Dm and Loch Lomond in G.

The new songs (4 of them) are available for purchase at $5 each and can be downloaded from the library. You can pay by check of paypal (add 35 cents for paypal transactions). You will see what key the songs are in by reading the descriptions in the library.

If anyone is interested in getting together and playing/practicing, I will have a tent set up at the Church of the Good Shepherds Fall Festival (Tequesta) on November 6th. This will be a great opportunity to get out and play and practice the songs of the week for that week.
