TOPIC: MINT JULEPS IN THE MARSH!

We've been asked by Sandra of JAM to save the date (MAY 7, 2011 SATURDAY) to do a fun jam at the Old Marsh Club for a "YOUNG FRIENDS OF ADOPT-A-FAMILY fundraiser...probably from 4:00-6:00. I don't know much about it yet but the couple of times that we've done similar events it's been fun. We just sit around in a circle and play the songs that we play in class. We go at the speed that most people are comfortable with and those that want to take the lead do so and those that don't want to don't have to .....no pressure..really...so try to save the date and let me know if you'll be able to come and do a little "jamming".

Sorry, but most likely I will not be able to make the event. It's tough to miss an event playing with the C & Gs.

You need to play "My Old Kentucky Home" and maybe some other Stephen Foster tunes. "Colored Aristocracy" would be another good one. Also dress up with the big hats, string ties, etc. Be a Bluegrass State Bluegrass player.
