Front Porch practice, and relaxation.... 13 years 11 months ago #3144

The neighbors haven't told me to stop yet so I am going to enjoy my summer evenings on the front porch with my Banjo as often as possible. There is something decidedly comforting and relaxing about sitting in a big white rocker on the porch and strumming out even basic chords. I find myself willing to be creative and to practice more freely.

On the front porch, have you tried Oscar's Guinness method, are you a believer in the gin and tonic school or do you hold with the white wine and a twist philosophy?

For me it's the back porch (it's screened) and Guinness or a British ale or Single Malt Scotch. My neighbors are too far away to hear my chicken scratches on the guitar.
