In the 5th Adult Guitar class we covered the following:

2. Review of the Major Scale.

3. Playing Chord using the CAGED system

4. Diagrammed A Major Chord numerically.

5. Once again the musical alphabet and the major scale was highlighted. The major scale was used to explain the Key to the Song, the major chord progression for a song, and the notes that make up a major chord.

Here are some questions you can address by replying to this post:

1. What is a I, IV, V chord Progression?

2. What is a major chord?

Homework

1.Print and be ready to review the songs Simple Gifts and Silent Night.

2. Play I, IV V chord progressions for the following Keys: C A G E D

3. Watch the fretmentor You Tube video on strumming and print out your strum lesson for next class

4. Print the left hand technique file from your disk and bring it to class. We will discuss technique then.

Have fun and see you next week.
