TOPIC: Singing?

Re:Singing? 12 years 7 months ago #5969

Im for listening to someone else sing...the courage it takes to step up and do it is inspiring....however if I attempted to sing a lead...I think I might empty the classroom. But it was fun to sing along (quitely) with some of the more talented singers in the class....

Singing is fun, especially with the music in a key that doesn't hurt (too high). Remembering the words is a different issue!

I'm all for just being a background rhythm player. Though this weekend at church i was the only guitar player. And the worship leader says: "Dave, i want you to open this song". Some tunes apparently sound cool with an acoustic intro. Fortunately, i knew the tune, and it was fairly easy. Vocalists are definitely gifted for sure. Enough weird-ness going on when you hear out of phase audio coming back when playing. I'm sure if i were trying to vocalise, that would really mess me up. Thank goodness for monitor speakers.
