- We practiced the G major scale from the open G string thru fret 12 in the pattern of Root, 2, 2, 1, 2, 2, 2, 1. Forward and backward.
- We practiced the G minor scale from the open G string thru fret 12 in the pattern of Root, 2, 1, 2, 2, 1, 2, 2. Forward and backward.
- We reviewed to G major pentatonic scale which is similar to the G major scale except notes iv and vii are skipped.
- We reviewed to G minor pentatonic scale which is similar to the G minor scale except notes ii and vi are skipped.
- We were introduced to the 'Blue Note' that can be used with the pentatonic scales. For the major pentatonic the Blue Note is a flattened-third while for the minor pentatonic it is a flattened-fifth.
- We practiced 12 Bar blues in key of G with each student alternating leads with rift 1, including some successful and less-successful attempts at rift 2.
