Hey Keith...astute appreciation you possess. We were up there for the week of Tues thru Sund.
The entire "Old Fiddlers Convention" was from Monday thru Sunday. It consists of amateurs only. Each contestant gets 2.5 minutes to play. Tuesday nite was for Mandolin's only, which we missed as we arrive too late. Banjos (bluegrass and Clawhammer) were one nite, fiddle's were one nite, and guitars were one nite. The last two nites were bands. The most fun was walking through the camp areas....full of campers, trailers, tents, Winnabagos, etc....everywhere you stopped people were playing. Flat footing is a big thing up there.
These guys were supposed to be amateurs, but we bought C.D. from one group, and most sounded awsome!!!
