TOPIC: Bluegrass Jam @ The Station Inn

I had the opportunity to catch the Sunday night Bluegrass Jam @ The Station Inn in Nashville this past weekend. Although the venue leaves a little to be desired, the music far exceeded my expectations. Everything Dave talks about as far as tempo, rhythm, and timing for breaks was present. People would just walk in and join in as they arrived, mid song. Pretty neat. I don't know how long any of these people had been playing together, but it seemed more like a band practicing then a Jam session.

on my way down to FL last year I stopped in Nashville for 3 weeks...I must have been at the station inn every other night. The Sunday jams a great...you never know who will show up...no slow jams !!! It is THE place to meet people to pick with. !
