TOPIC: Celtic Crossroads!

The show (or group) "Celtic Crossroads" is scheduled for the Maltz Jupiter Theater for March 2nd in 2012. I saw these guys several years ago and they gave a fantastic 2 hour show. Lots of Trad/Celtic Irish music with fiddles, banjos singing and the like. The musicans are young (most less than 30)from Ireland and are really great. A small amount of step dancing was also included to appeal to the River Dance addicts.

Since its on a Friday night (not Wednesday!), we wouldn't have to miss class to attend.

Yes, my 2012 schedule is filling up fast! or if enough people know about a concert, then they will remind me!

Anyway, if "Celtic Crossroads" is anything like I heard and saw over two years ago, their performance will be magnificent. If you have any interest in Irish/Trad music, they will be well worth the $40 a seat.

What a show! After hearing "Celtic Crossroads" it took me 4 months to get over a mania to play Irish Banjo. Irish Banjo is very difficult with a lot of funky triplets (notes not babies).

When we were in Ireland last summer every pub had a banjo player, but they were 4 stringers, tenors, I think, and didn't sound like our 5 stringers here....
