TOPIC: Vince Gill at the Kravis Center

This was my first Vince Gill concert and I guess I'm now a fan. Although battling a cold and being somewhat hoarse, he put on a great show. Before performing each song he gave the reasons as to why he had written them. These short stories were quite touching at times, and made me like him even more. Guess I'll be listening to more than his Christmas CD (which is awesome) from now on.
If you have a chance to catch his concert do so! It makes for a very pleasant evening! Just him and 3 guys backing him...Awesome! You could actually hear the instruments!
I now have a new goal, by the way....not to play like him...but to own as many guitars as he does

Collecting mandolins is even better, and takes less space!

Not only did I enjoy seeing Vince play those many guitars but I found him to be one of the most personable entertainers to perform on stage. His interaction with the audience was wonderful. His stories were indeed touching (some serious and others humorous). It was great to hear why certain songs were written and who influenced him to write the songs.

While he was suffering from a cold, Vince Gill's voice was superior to many singers who do not have a cold.

If you haven't seen Vince perform, it is well worth the money for a decent ticket.
