ATROPHY! PHOOEWY!!!! 13 years 11 months ago #3055

So I'm able to "play" guitar again....the left arm is doing pretty good at remembering what chords or strings to press....however the right arm just can't follow .... I can't believe how quickly our muscles dwindle....Does anyone have any idea how long before the right arm matches the left one again???? AGHHHHHH!!!! So frustrating....!!! Obviously I don't want to overdo it....but I want my right arm back to "normal"....

My right arm will never match my left arm. . . after all, it is one minute older. . . .B)

That is funny. I find that it is easier to control the right arm than to coordinate those 4 fingers on the left hand, really how long does it take to get the 4 fingers on the right strings at the right fret at the right time?

I found that going s-l-o-w-l-y at the beginning helped me tremendously....the right arm just had to go as slowly as the left....it made "muscle memory" and pretty soon they were going at the same time....My problem has been that I broke my right arm in March and although the brain is willing the right arm doesn't want to cooperate :S ....it's getting better though...I'm already noticing an improvement :) .
