TOPIC: IMITREX AND PRACTICING...

Lately I've been getting pretty bad headaches...(migraines) and the doctor has prescribed Imitrex. These little pills are wonderful at taking care of the headaches, but OMG they also takes care of my reflexes, thinking process, coordination and make me so so so lethargic....that practicing while under this medication is a total joke. My mind knows what it wants to do and it passes on the message to the fingers....but they are doing their own little thing. Even easy strums can not come together....AYYYYYYY!!! How do people function while under the influence of anything????? Thank God my headaches are not an everyday affair...... and now I'm getting ready to go try practicing again since it's been 6 hours since the last pill....Let's see if the "fingers" can do a Dm chord....

Tigerpaws... The relief Imitrex can give you far outweighs the practice sessions giving you stress. Just get past the migraines..and then spend time with your instruments.

Tigerpaws - Look at the warnings on the back of the label. For Imitrex it says .... Don't drive, don't operate heavy equipment and don't attempt to practice mandolin while taking this medicine.

Guess I stopped reading too soon....I saw "don't operate heavy machinery" so I just switched to my "light mando" instead of the heavy guitar! Should've read to the end Huh?
