TOPIC: DREADED PINKY FINGER!!!!

For some reason when I play ANYTHING, piano, guitar, mandolin and especially fiddle, my pinky on my left hand has a mind of it's own (must be a boy finger)...anyway I can't get it to come down....as soon as I'm finished using it it pops straight up. I've been given some excercises to try to make it stronger and so I can control it better....and that's what I've done today....results???? NOTHING, NADA, SILCH, but maybe tomorrow....(I may be a loser but never a quitter) . I will try again tomorrow....I can't anymore today.....my ego and finger are both hurting!!!

Based on your thourough discription, I must agree, it must be a boy pinky. I, however have the opposite problem. My pinky doesn't want to move. It just wants to lay around and I can only get it to go somewhere if the ring finger goes along also!!!! I wish I had practiced my Vulcan Greating more when I was a kid. (No gender assigned, make your own judgement)

Tigerpaws....That fourth finger on the fiddle is difficult, to say the least...(I really needed to use foul language, but didn't think it would sit well with FM)

I think by the time I turn 90 it may start to listen.
