TOPIC: Practice recording/viewing?

i think a handheld digital recorder works fine. Although video can give a good 3rd person view of proper posture, etc.

Edbird, where did you get your Edirol? Sounds like a cool device, i like the SD capability

I use the webcam on my laptop, I just zoom in on my hands... very easy to use. I also have Cubase that i can either record through my computers mic or a digitech pedal board I use mostly with electric but have also plugged my martin into.

I use a Sony IC recorder...small, and good for recording lessons, but I've had a problem with MAC compatability. Laptop webcam is an alternative.

Dave- I think I got it mail order. There are a bunch of digital audio recorders out there, I think pretty much any one would work for what we need it for. As long as they record in a format that is compatible with your computer (I use MP3 but mine has several options)...and I prefer the ones like mine that use the SD card instead of fixed memory. But I don't think this is a necessity.

I never thought of the webcam but that would work too but the digital recorders have higher audio quality.
