I agree with you all on this one. Creating melody lines from scales is fun and rewarding. Doing them forwards, backwards, in different positions, and different keys gives a real boost to your playing ability.

From what you guys are saying, I've come to a revelation that, work reaps results and, some things are going to become second nature. Whatever plateau whomever is on, this kind of work will break it and recreate something. As Ewe says, "it's within you that the music is created... it's not the instrument"; we are buds ready for blossom!
