TOPIC: Funny noise when I play...

My mando makes a high pitched buzzing(?) when i play...quite some time ago it sat for an afternoon in the car and the pickguard warped a little. could this noise just be the pickguard vibrating against the body? it's hard to play and hold it sideways and look for something vibrating at the same time!
