TOPIC: Changing strings

Mandolin players, how often do you change your strings? I can get a couple of months out of mine. Also, since we have a few more mandolin players, how about some posts here in the mandolin section?

Pinky..Dave told me we ought to change them approximately every six weeks. When I bought my mandolin new, he said the mandolin could have been sitting on a rack for 6 months before I bought it...so I should change them immediately..something I never would have thought of
