Does anyone have a Tone-gard on their mandolin? All the ads say some of the big names in the music business use them. I recently got one for my #1 mandolin, and like the additional sound it provides. Of course, it could all be in my head. :S

A Tone-gard is a little cage-like thing that goes on the back of the mandolin. It is supposed to help make it louder . I think it works because my husband was playing my mandolin that doesn't have a Tone-gard and mine was way louder. You can go to FQMS's web site and see one.
