Actually I find the Shaker history fascinating. I have visited Pleasant Hill Ky (famous for making brooms), Caterberry, NH (I believe seed production)and Handcock, MA (Round barn, etc.) I have lots of shaker books and I believe that in Hancock you can see a Shaker music stand. Many of the villages feature Simple Gifts during many presentations. At last news there are still a few living Shakers at Sabbath Day Lake, ME. Obviously the Shakers were famous for their industry, furniture, boxes, etc.
