Re:Practice in different places 14 years 1 week ago #2944

last week i got brave and decided to take the banjo to the local park and just sit and play /practice outside all by my lonesome..

interesting.. people actually stopped by and listened ..a bit.

It was good for the confidence....i survived intact.

I practice out side all the time. It gets me away from the distractions of the house. I like to go to the beach, so I bring my banjo and practice there. I’ve gotten into the habit of using a mute because I got tired of watching people walk by with their fingers in their ears.

I like practicing on my screened porch. Sometimes it's the only quiet place in the house if my wife is playing piano or my son is playing electric guitar. Or the dog is barking, etc...

Just me and the breezes.

Hey Kmando, I excepted the Ultimate Practce Challenge and with the data collected, the the practice of drinking a few pints of Guinness while practice is a poor choice. It made me lazy, lost attention quickly, and more errors. Conclusion: Leave the Guinness out of the practice situation:laugh:

I am sure that all the musical world has been waiting nervously for the results of your study. You being recognized as a master in the art (drinking Guinness that is).

The question is --- after so many Guinnesses how can you tell if you made a mistake?
