I do the same thing. It is a common problem. In fact Gold Tone has just put out a new tuner that only has a 440 - no adjustments.

A few cents here or there should not be that huge for most of us. In a piano it is a big deal because of the multiple strings per note so you hear the beating.

Tigerpaws - I didn't know that you tuned your own guitar. I thought your instrument tech (the guy that carries the cases) did all the string changing and tuning! Maybe a salary cut for the tech is in order!

OK, the tech guy may go on strike, as he is WAY underpaid as it is! And now I have to take the blame??? Where's my union representative? Tuning is definitely a constant requirement as we carry our instruments out of house and home, into a small well airconditioned car, then outside, then back to a room filled with all that hot air (oops, I didn't mean that!)
